Our World - A Photography Journey

This was a project I started back in 2008, when I discovered the Spherical Panorama.  I have been shooting them now for 14 years. A spherical Panorama is a 360x180 degrees photo that is wrapped in on itself to look like a globe. Teach those flat earthers a thing or two....

Role - Head Photographer
Year - 2008-current

THE CHALLENGE

One of the biggest challenges I faced shooting these is the sheer amount of time spent both shooting these and editing them. One photo can be made up of 200 photos. This helps make these photos so big that they sit upwards to 2mx2m printed if needed.

The post-shooting process can take a fair bit of time as well.

Most of these photos I shoot in HDR (High Dynamic Range) so the first part is joining all the same photos together and editing the single shots.  After I colour grade each photo I then processed by joining the photos together to make these panoramas.  Then I clean up the miss alignments that invariably happen.
