Primordials is a game developed by Ryan Commins and myself. We started a company called Master Forge Games. It started as 2 friends who really loved playing games and deciding to have a go at creating our own game.

THE CHALLENGE
Some of the biggest challenges both of us have faced when developing this project has been lack of time able to put into the game. It has taken us almost 4 years to get to this stage. We had it at a stage that both of us were happy to finally launch the game to be crowd funded through Kickstarter and had a
booth booked for Oct 2020 PAX AUS to launch the game - go to market with this project and get the game out there to the public when Covid hit. This has delayed the project a year. Come October 2021 this project will go live on Kickstarter and the public can pre-order their own copies of the game.


My Contribution
In this project, my key roles involved layout design, UX and UI design, artist direction and game development.
The art was procured from the amazing Artist Ben who we found through Instagram who goes by the pseudonym "RYKYART". Go check out his amazing work.
Some of the challenges I faced was making iconology that fits well with the theme and the art for the cards. There has been a lot of different versions that might never see the light of day (haha), but I'm pretty happy with the outcome we have achieved.
